Registration Open Feb 3rd 2022

Davidson is pleased to be joining the Marin county middle school golf league.  There will be 12 teams competing. Each team will play four matches during the course of the season with four players competing and the best three scores counting towards the teams’ total score.  Matches will be held at McInnis on Mondays with the first event taking place on March 14th.  The four teams with the lowest total score at the end of the season will compete in the final for the trophy in mid May.

There will also be an individual tournament that runs concurrently with the team tournament.  Players in the team tournament will automatically be entered into the individual trophy along with anyone who shoots 40 or below in the regular season.  

Each team consists of a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 8, with the registration cost being 65$ per player. Players will also need to cover range expense and practice holes at McInnis. Range tokens should be around $15, with the ability to play 9 holes for as little as $5 with a youth on course card.

Registration is open to boys and girls.  To the extent there are more than eight registrants, there will be tryouts the week of February 13th. 

In addition to on-course etiquette we will focus on fundamentals: grip, ball placement/stance, swing basics, short game and course management.  The goal is to prepare kids for high school golf; and of course, outside lessons never hurt.
